| Hi,
Really looking forward to sharing publishing info, especially self-publishing. I have been considering Lulu for my next novel and would appreciate any input. I've seen half a dozen of their books (all role-playing) and am very impressed. This appears to be a very active forum with writers doing things, that is, taking matters into their own hands if that's what it takes to get their work published and out there to be read -- shared. I wonder how many lost books that never were are ghost-things in the ether, written before the computer and the internet made it possible to give them a life on the shelf. I can only hope they are held safely in L-Space in the tender care of Pratchett's Librarian.

| I have used Lulu for local books that would be of no interest to the world in general, including other publishers. Lulu is easy to use, has online assistance from live people and does an excellent job in producing a book. For specific uses such as the one mentioned I give Lulu a 5-star rating. It costs nothing aside from the proof copy of your book, which will appear on Amazon, B&N and the usual online retailers.

| Everyone here, thanks for all the welcomes and for the Lulu info, Dick. I have visited other publishing sites but Lulu looked the most promising. My experience with another publisher was okay but they were not as helpful as I'd been led to expect.
