New here, but not to writing

This is a new site for me. Learned about it through GoodReads. I have been a reporter, am a columnist and had my first book published in 2008, Day by Day, The Chronicles of a Hard of Hearing Reporter, published by Gallaudet University Press. It was a fun and long process but I'm pleased with the result. Working on my second book. Fiction does not come to at all but non-fiction is my venue. Maybe in time, that will change. I'm open to that. I'm reading "The Forest for the Trees, and Editor's Advice to Writers," by Betsy Lerner. It's very interesting so far.
