Alice, this is a really amazing star in lots of different ways.
Since I first came upon it a couple of years back, it has proven to be something of an enigma.
I first imagined it must be a binary companion to the bright star that's to the left of it. I then found that it has moved by a considerable margin over forty years that it has been photographed in two different sky surveys. My reports on this star are archived for posterity here:

And now, to add the icing on the cake... I have detected variations in its brightness. The next challenge is to determine exactly what type of variable star it might be.
