What is your opinion ?...


New Mexico State Legislator is submitting a bill that wants people
who file for un-employment to not only take a drug test but pay for
the test themselves, they say if a person is taking drugs they shouldn't
get un-employment and pay for their own drugs !

Just read that Senator Orrin Hatch wants to add into
un-employment extension bill the same law as New Mexico
is planning and Florida has the same bill it wants to pass.

Obviously, those making those laws have never been through the debilitating experience of drawing unemployment. Better that they make available no-cost mental health services that include the potential for drug and substance abuse treatment. This long-term unemployment cycle is a shock to many families and bread winners. While many people have the survival instincts to just start with nothing over and over after losing jobs, houses, family stability and lifelong savings, everyone does not have the strength and after many failed attempts to start over, turn to a crutch. I do not condone the abuse of drugs or alcohol, but many people with wealth have the funds for legal prescriptions and psychiatry that helps them cope with life's shocks in addition to friends and resources for loans and other needed assistance. Those at the lower end of the financial spectrum don't have that luxury. This is just one more piece of evidence that legistlators are out of touch with reality.

They don't drug test people who carry concealed guns--why plague the unemployed? The unemployed are
badgered quite enough, in my not-humble opinion.

Their employer paid unemployment benefits for them. What a lousy, idea! The politiicains need to think before they jump.

A lot of their ideas are to further beat down the poor.

Why not drug test the rich people before they give them a tax break? That would be the day. Make them pay for the test? If such an idea were even mentioned there would be hysteria and I mean mass by the poor wealthy folks.

I read late last night that Orrin Hatch wants to take back
the extra $25.00 per week that was given to the extension
for un-employment, it was like an extra amount, I forget
what they called it...Shocking !

Orrin Hatch and his fellow Republican's need a lesson in math.
They think that cutting taxes on the wealthy will fix this mess--what do they think brought it on?

I think: Fighting wars on borrowed money, cutting taxes, and a corrupt banking industry.

Now instead of fixing the problems, they wish to perpetuate them and blame the poor.

I wish the poor would quit voting these non-thinkers into office.

Politicians will do what they want, we don't
count.......Florida also wants to do the same laws
plus add in Welfare people receive.

Just read a few minutes ago, Kentucky, Iowa, Idaho
and another state want to make the same laws ! I
think politicians have Indian runners running from state
to state giving each other the same info. !

I hope they reimburse the employers for the unemployment compensation benefits they paid for.

"...nah, it's just a way to draw attention to themselves, they're so jealous of sarah palin who gets more attention than them with her mastery of zen here..." mentioned the goblin, wondering which state would be the first back the "shoot them on sight" unemployment initiative that will probably come soon, saying "...things are just going to get very worse now, the deception has yet to clear itself through the system, subprimes were only to beginning..."

From what I've read the states owe billions to the Feds.,
for the extended un-employment and in Sept. the interest comes
due millions of dollars . I read the new idiot Gov.of NY (My sister-
in-law works for the state,) are going to ax 10,000 state jobs !
Other states owe just as much or more for borrowing from the
Feds., they're going to ax jobs too !
