We'll next week will be the 211th new Congress, I wonder what they
have plans for ? Can anyone guess or should we wait and see ?

My hopes are not high. They are politicians after all. They don't have a work ethic--just know how to work their mouthes and make empty promises.

I listened to a few news shows from multiple political persuasions Sunday. The general theme was destroying healthcare by the Republicans and a new spin to let the U.S. citizens see better the accomplishments by the Democrats to date from the Democrats. I heard nothing construction regarding the work of the Congress such as legislation to benefit the nation.

They are messing with Social Security at a time when the young can't get a job much less anyone over 65; geez, find something else to cut please. There aren't enough jobs for the young families let alone keeping more old geezers in the few jobs that still exist.

People without social security and without a job will need food, healthcare and shelter anyway - isn't that the purpose of social security? The last resort?

Well, let's keep tax cuts for the wealthy. They need the break to buy another house for their shelter.

It's midnight; not a good time for political commentary. Clean out the Congress altogether and start over. Couldn't be worse. Except change the election rules so ordinary professionals can enter the arena without being millionaires or having millionaires to whom they are indebted and limit terms to a couple with a break before a couple more are possible. About as likely as new, beneficial legislation, huh. Nite all...

Waste time arguing and mess things up worse--if that is possible. DK gets it. I like her grasp of it.
