A car in front of me today had a sticker, "Live simply so others can simply live."

Great, another faux-profound message from the Living Simpletons. What's it's supposed to mean, anyhow? Work hard and give all your money away? YK, if everyone "lived simply," there would be no progress. Ambitious people who don't want to live simply are the engines that keep inventions coming and commerce going.

Another sticker that that annoys me with its self-righteousness is the "Motherhood: A Proud Profession" one. It's always stuck on a 30-year old Corolla, too. What's the point? I'm giving up my worldly goods to be a mother? Good for you.
