The two versions of Genesis are because one speaks of the Father's doings, while the second Genesis speaks of His Son's creation of Adam and Eve. The first version is prophetic and speaks of the Father's desire to create Christ and the Church in His image. The second version is how Jesus created Adam and Eve. There is no contradiction in the two versions.
