| Scenario: You are required to change into another person. The person you choose may be someone still living or of the past. You will live the same life that person lived in every respect.
Who would you choose to become and why?
Note: Not wanting to change and remain the person you are is not an option in this scenario. |

Oh, dear. I guess I can't play this round. Too many good things I would have to let go of.

| I'm tempted to say Jane Austen (Virginia Woolf called Austen "the most perfect artist among women." ) but she died a spinster at the age of forty-two. So, I will choose Beatrix Potter. She was born into a privileged family, was a wonderful illustrator and became extremely rich and independent. She bought a home in the Lake District away from the hustle and bustle of city life and lived her life exactly the way she wanted it. Not many people can do that. _________________ Shelagh Watkins http://shelaghwatkins.co.uk/

| Renee Zelwieger [sic?] did a beautiful job of playing Potter in the movie. The animation and scenery were so intriguing. You made a good choice, Shelagh.
Alice, ironically, it looks like your best choice would be Sarah Palin. At least you wouldn't have to develop DID.

| I'm a character in Domenics books. I have played many parts...but it's still me. I took Domenics identity some years ago...I love being Domenic; he's such a nerd. |

| I choose Thomas Jefferson. He did not die a rich man but he led a good life and made an important contribution to the history of our nation. |

| Aha but he was a racist. Now you have to be one too. You will need to have slaves.
You are far better than he was.

Disassociative Identity Disorder (Multiple-Personality Disorder.)
If you insist, if domenic can be his own characters, then I would be Maggie Wainwright, the journalist-heroine of And Adam was a Gardener who can't decide between the two men in her life: a wealthy computer magnate (David Llewellyn) or a guitar-playing, folksinging pub owner (Briny Devlin).

| People who don't know me think I am Beth Durban in The Power of Persuasion. Those who know me, know that I am not. _________________ Shelagh Watkins http://shelaghwatkins.co.uk/
