Baking soda gun
Baking soda gun
I’ve got this baking soda and vinegar gun
Twin pipes spliced by ball valve
Each eight by half
End cap tight on one end
Half tablespoon of soda
And eighth cup of vinegar
Rubber stopper flying fast like a bullet
More than a hundred eighty feet in just one second
A hundred score and a quarter the year it came
And I’ve got this baking soda and vinegar gun

Quitting chewing gum, gum?

Not gum, gun as in projectile shooting device. The poem is a discription of the first working baking soda and vinegar cork gun I built in early 2005. The baking soda and vinegar gun is one of my favorite projects. In 2006, I built some more powerful versions that can shoot about 140 miles per hour and in 2008, I built some very small miniature versions of the gun.
