But do you wear green and gold for two weeks straight after your team wins the Superbowl, or even get a day off of school to celebrate, or put your child's name on the list for season tickets before he/she is born, or put a cheesehead on for Sunday's game?

I am but a simple, tortured, KC Chiefs fan. Got to see Montana play, though, when he was a Chief.

I have a confession. Despite having been paid many years to watch sports I can't stand them on TV other than Indy Car Racing. The number of commercials would drive me away if nothing else did. I don't like professional and major college sports because of the airheads, prima donnas and just plain jerks. High school sports I love, but in person.

I laughed when told about the game between Akron and Indiana University here two days ago. The Akron quarterback was suspended the day before the game for violating team rules. That balanced things out because the Indiana quarterback had been suspended earlier for violating team rules. A couple of airheads, real idiots.

I think I've been mixing up my threads.
