| I queried an agent last year and finally received a response yesterday! The agent in question had obviously done her homework as she congratulated me on the contact for The House on the Shore and asked if I would like to query another title that was unpublished and uncommitted to my current contract. As it happens, I've just signed a contract for my current WIP, but I replied and told her about an idea I had for another novel. To my surprise, I received a reply this evening, asking me to submit a polished proposal. I wondered if anyone had any tips on writing proposals as opposed to query letters. |

| No, but I've been married three times. Sorry, Jenny, I haven't a clue other than it would be a sales pitch, which you already know. _________________ Member: Mystery Writers of America; Private Eye Writers of America website: [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] |
