| Gratitude

When the world had sliced my soul, you healed my scars.
When people said that I was bleak, you told me to keep reaching for the stars.
When my mother and I had a disparity, you understood my pain.
When I cried because my man left me, you gave me a Kleenex to wipe away the tear stains.
When I thought I was not going to pass my classes, you told me to keep striving.
When I wanted to put my pen down, you told me to keep writing.
When I wanted to die, you told me to breathe.
When I wanted to hold on to the past, you told me to leave.
When I could not find a job, you told me to hold on.
When I told you that hope had vanished, you said, “Not for long.”
When I said I wanted to become an author, you said, “You can do it if you deem”.
Therefore, if it was not for you, my dear friends; I would not have been able to achieve my dreams.

Ms. Watkins, you can leave the draft you had alone. It's fine the way it is. I like the way u presented it a lot better. So, don't worry about it. Thanks for the editing and again, I appreciate the love and support on my work.
