Two republics in Georgia want their independence. Georgia doesn’t want to allow it. Yesterday these countries made their case in Russia and it was given a positive response.
Our Mr. Bush is opposed to it, supports Georgia, and gives warnings to Russia. Our Mr. Bush was in favor of Kosovo breaking away from Serbia when Russia opposed it. Talk about flip-flopping!

That's why I am just glad that he's still your Mr. Bush. Very Happy

Four more months instead of four more years.

I just hope the world survives those four months. If we get four more years of it...look out!

The latest today on CNN:

"Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin has accused the United States of
orchestrating the conflict in Georgia to benefit one of its
presidential election candidates. In an exclusive interview with CNN,
Putin said the U.S. had encouraged Georgia to attack the breakaway
region of South Ossetia, triggering a Russian invasion."

Eww boy -- seems as though there's going to be plenty more trouble coming doesn't it? I wonder if they can keep this as cold as they'd like to. Certainly has not been that way so far. No

Actually, that's not far from my own thoughts in the matter. I'd be a lttle blander on it. I think Georgia was "emboldened" by US committments and encouragements...and especially from McCain and his staff (including the guy who used to be a Lobbyist for Georgia) and the White House is very happy to have a big old retro-ColdWar brewing to make McCain look more attractive than Obama.

Not that Putin and his minions are anybody's sweethearts, of course.
