I don't understand much about finance, but I don't think that we are using the same "currency" we did in the past. We seldom use cash for anything anymore, and that "cash" has not had a back-up in "real" currency for some time.
The value of a dollar today isn't based on reality. It is based on the whim of a few people who decide what they think it ought to be worth, and what they think is decided by a powerful few who want to stay powerful.
We live in a world that believes strongly in a concept of scarcity or the belief that there is not enough stuff to go around, and that power, control, and the construction of reality itself belongs to an elect few who get to choose for the rest of us.
But the general public is beginning to wake up, and see a different reality that involves a true equality between genders, lifestyles, cultures, ethnic groups, and localities that are currently separated by imaginary lines that were drawn by members of that elect few.
Much that has been hidden is being uncovered these days, and people are seeing a different version of reality, and are demanding that it be recognized and lived up to.
The concept of "currency" is a part of that change. (no pun intended)
Just me.
