Shelagh,
unless it was clear it was from you, it may have gotten deleted. Could you please re-send?

Betty,

Do not hesitate to go for medical treatment.

When my oldest daughter was ten years old she stepped on a wasp in her bare feet. She was in her bathing suit and went upstairs to change. A friend called her and I called for her to answer the phone. When she answered a little voice came on and she said she did not feel good. I went and looked at her and she was bright red.

I called the clinic. They called immediately. "Do not call the ambulance. Get in the car immediately. Come to the clinic not the hospital because it will be shorter." Well, of course I had no car, ran to the next door neighbor and we set off. Fifteen minutes later we arrived. The doctor was standing in the parking lot with a hypodermic needle. As soon as he saw her he said, "I should have called you a police escort."

She has carried an epi-pen all her life. He said she would not make it to the hospital next time without one.

So, my friend, take care.

Love, Carol

Wow - and until reading this thread I never heard of an epi-pen.
