| I started this thread with mention of the light of the night sky and how friends in the right circles (if you know what I mean? ) can help you.
Well, it seems I'm getting some votes of support from people in my home town, on the latest wiki chit-chats:

| Congratulations Ahad. Persistence is paying off. What you have accomplished no man can take away from you and the recognition will follow. _________________ "To Beirut and Back" http://www.freewebs.com/abemarch |

| Zada and Abe, Thanks. These things are always very contentious and no feedback is necessarily bad feedback, but *honest* feedback. As Abe pointed out, Neil Armstrong doesn't have to re-visit the moon to claim he was the *first* lol... but that doesn't mean the conspiracy theorists are ever gonna go away. I wish you both a very pleasant weekend. _________________ A Ahad http://www.myspace.com/aa_spaceagent |

| Sorry to keep raising this folks... I thought it may make 'entertaining news' for ya'll to know my page appeared on Wikirage:
[link has been snipped out]
Amongst other things, it shows that I'm still in the media spotlight (That doesn't make me a hot celeb or anything, of course, because I'm still only a publishamerica author!) _________________ A Ahad http://www.myspace.com/aa_spaceagent

| The spotlight is a good place to be, Ahad. It's all about the 'buzz'. Or so they tell me. It sure can't be hurting your sales. _________________ Zada Connaway Mother's Journals: parts 1, 2 and 3 ISBN # 1-4241-6969-0

| That link works, Abe. I got the same thing by putting cosmic ghost in their search box. All rather interesting, no? _________________ Zada Connaway Mother's Journals: parts 1, 2 and 3 ISBN # 1-4241-6969-0

| I got the link Abe. It is quite fascinating! A lot of astronomy that can be classed as 'professional' nowadays is done from the armchair, so to speak. Here in the UK, we have robotic telescopes sited way out in the Canary Islands that transmit images in real time. With more and more work being done on the computer as opposed to at the telescope, the dividing line between 'amateur' and 'professional' astronomy is increasingly narrowing.
It may surprise people to know that a lot of the information gathered from spacecraft visiting the planets in our Solar System over the past few decades still has not been fully processed/digested. It's a fast-moving field and manpower resources are short in analysing the trillions of bits of data that have poured in. Hence, long after any practical astronomy session is over, whether down here on the ground or up there at the planets, there is always a backlog of 'armchair' astronomy to be done afterwards to unravel new insights and discover new dimensions to a story that will have been overlooked in the initial casual sweep.
And professional astronomers are of course paid by the hour and always time-constrained, leaving much room for the amateur volunteer to fill in valuable contributions. _________________ A Ahad http://www.myspace.com/aa_spaceagent |

| The ultimate test of any new science is whether it can be independently verified and tested and - more to the point - that it is appreciated/used by other people independent of its author or originator.
Thus, the Pythagorean Theorem which we are taught in high school math classes, is acceptable to us today, even though we have no friendship with the ancient Pythagoras - who perished 500 B.C.
I was rather chuffed to learn that my paper on the rings of the Earth (which states that the Earth will stay forever ringless) was quoted by some user named 'tadchem' on the Physics forum only the other day. The very last post on this thread references my article:
http://groups.google.com/group/sci.physics/browse_frm/thread/a1caa93eeff3627d#
It is interesting how he has effectively ended that discussion about rings of the Earth . _________________ A Ahad http://www.myspace.com/aa_spaceagent |
