Science and humor apparently are a deadly mix...but who says one can't be a little funny now and again on a social forum such as this?!

Hi Ahad, well according to Abe on the ''why worry' thread that if you have no worries you must be dead I came to the conclusion that I was, dead that is so it seems I'm right on target 
And indeed as Patch Adams, as played by Robin Williams in the film says, 'The medicinal value of laughter is well proven' you can't take life too seriously you won't get out of it alive and we're a long time looking at the lid!

| People who advance in life, the achievers, are people who are driven. These are not carefree people. They are motivated for a variety of reasons. Fear of loss is motivating. Fear of failure is motivating. And as Dick pointed out, fear in battle is a big motivator to stay alive. I've yet to meet the person who lives in fear of success.
Those who achieve monetary success are concerned about theft and protecting their assets. People protect their home with security devices. If there were no concerns I suppose the insurance industry would fold their tents.
From the day we are born until the day we die, life is a struggle. You can call it anything you want, but having no concerns in life means the person is mentally dead - a robot.
I stick with my statement. Those who are totally without problems or worries are already dead.

oh Abe, oh Abe what has made you become so cynical, I've been called many things in my life, but you've come up with a new one, excuse while I boot up my 'oh I'm so worried' program.....ooops, sorry, seems I deleted it years ago and it's still cool being dead according to the gospel according to Abe, thanks buddy   My given last name means tree in German and like a tree my roots go deep and my branches reach to the sky, my trunk is sturdy and I bend to the wind, sometimes bowed, but never broken, hey it's quite coool being a dead robot too, hang on, if I'm dead how am I typing this? Sorry can't give away all my trade secrets

| The scientific term (well, maybe it's a business term actually) for positive stress is "eustress". We can have all kinds of fun with that word I think...eustress Abdul, and enjoy!
