Don't ask me why because I don't know the answer but my Yahoo blog has received 20,118 hits since I set it up last February.

I don't do anything at all to promote it and it attracts visitors all by itself. My blogger blog doesn't receive nearly the same attention. Weird.

Wow, Shelagh. Some of it may be the "way of things" out on Yahoo, but a lot probably has to do with what you're saying there.

Am I looking at it right? It appears you haven't posted there since June and all those hits are coming in anyhow???

It makes you wonder if the stat counter is working correctly. I do get a buzz out of it but I suspect there's something wrong.

It depends on what kind of stat counter you have. Does it record unique visitors? Spiders trigger a visit on many stat counters, and if you blog is hosted by Yahoo it may have spiders crawling your site. Of course, it could just be what you are saying...

Well spotted Dick and Abdul! I added two blogs to 2,000 bloggers (too late to be added to the list now!) and one picture receives 50 times more hits than the other. Size matters! here are the two pictures:
