I've just finished my first book trailer. What fun it was. I know it is a little long and slow, and not as flashy as many marketing people suggest, but it was sure fun to make and my first attempt. Next time I'll make it shorter.

If anyone wants to check it out you can watch it on Youtube or my book page: Native American Cultural Affiliation I Archaeology in the American West.

Excellent first attempt! You paced the material well and it was easy to read without missing anything. Well done!

Very interesting Flash. Even though I did not watch the whole thing (I'm still on dial-up, so ten minutes will download the first 5 seconds!) it does look good, and you are sure to pique people's interest with it.

Peter that's a great video - the pics and text flow well together and the music makes it really interesting too! Great job.

Excellent job, Peter! I didn't know you were into Native American studies...

Man, are we ever going to have some great conversations - if you are
willing. My interests lie mostly with the indigenous cultures in the
southeast: Creek/Mvskoke, Seminole, Hichiti, Yuchi, and any of the
Muscogulge language speakers.

I have spent many years studying, arguing and investigating the
migration routes and origins of these people, and your book is on my
"must have" list!

Very cool, Peter.
Nice, crisp clean images throughout.

Waaaaaa, I didn't even get 5 seconds after 25 minutes of download. I am on dialup like Zada. I want to see it!!!

But if you did it, Peter, I KNOW it is great!!!!!!

I almost didn't click on this thread but your mention of Native Americans drew me here like a moth to a flame.

Thanks for all of the great feedback. The biggest complaint I have gotten is that it is too long and people don't like the scrolling text.

An interesting side note is that of all the feedback I've gotten it has either been very positive or very negative. The positive feedback comes from writers and authors. The negative feedback has come from marketers and publishers. Since my target audience is readers, it makes you wonder what the marketers really know...

Very good, Peter. I like the scrolling text, perhaps because the sound doesn't work on my computer.

the flaw I find is the spellout text, also. Especially having so much of it.

But it's pretty cool and definitely very sharp and well-resolved.

Good word. It definitely has a "documentary" feel to it.

Peter, I enjoyed it all and I love how you presented the information.
If asked, the only thing I'd change is, instead of the scrolling text,
show it already written. I'd prefer to read it at my own pace rather
than to have to wait for it to appear.

All in all, very well done. Congratulations!
