| Congraulations Abe. I hope all works out for you.
If I have to wait 30 years, I doubt if I'll even know what my name is by then!! _________________ Jenny Writing as Victoria Howard

Just last year I gave it to my daughter to see if she could do something with it but nothing happened. Then just this past month I sent an inquiry to an agent and got a bite. The Agent wants to handle it with a traditional publisher. I can't believe it. It took more than 30 years to get this far.
Now with my current manuscript, if I have to wait 30 years, I'm not sure I would know what an Agent did or was. |
Congratulations Abe! Don't worry, you will be just lovely when you're 99! I should know, I'm a hundred! LOL! _________________ Shelagh Watkins http://shelaghwatkins.co.uk/ |

| Wow Abe, if that doesn't show how persistence pays off, nothing will! Good for you for sticking with it - _________________ Pam Robertson http://andthebandplayedonmylawn.blogspot.com |

| Hang in there Karina - my current manuscript had a lot more than that before agents and e-book publishers started taking an interest. _________________ Jenny Writing as Victoria Howard

| I recevied another rejection today - this time from Crichton & Associates. This is what they had to say
"Chasing the Sandpiper is a delightful story. You have an excellent voice. I have decided to pass on this project, however, as I am unable to give it the attention it deserves at this time."
This is the fourth time an agent has made a postive comment and expressed interest in the manuscript. It makes me wonder what I have to do to finally secure representation! _________________ Jenny Writing as Victoria Howard

| Jenny I think I'd be inclined to pick up the phone and ask them--one of those "in follow up to your letter, would you kindly clarify the statement in your letter. I am absolutely committed to finding a reutable puclisher for this work, and if you have any suggesions for me, I'd really appreciate it..." or something like that. Amazing things happen with a phone call in this age of relentless emails, even if you have to simply leave a voicemail.
Go for it. I've got your back. (As I'm sure many of your other forum pals do!). :pirat: _________________ Pam Robertson http://andthebandplayedonmylawn.blogspot.com |

| I think Pam is on the right track there. In fact, I might even be so bold as to ask when they thought they would be "able to give it the attention it deserves", and offer to submit it once a month until that time. _________________ Zada Connaway Mother's Journals: parts 1, 2 and 3 ISBN # 1-4241-6969-0
