domenic Pappalardo

Domenic Pappalardo
Domenic Pappalardo was born  in West Upton, MA, U.S.A. Like John Steinbeck, Mark twain and Erni Pyle, this writer grew up in a dirty box-car rolling across the American countryside.

The folks Domenic writes about have eaten dirt, felt hunger, lived behind dumpsters, had their hearts broken. People in his tales are real people. He never makes up a character. Those in  his stories let you see what they are thinking, and how they feel. Characters like Judge Dexter Stevens, who would rather watch two rabbits at play than an atomic bomb. Like the judge once said, "Anybody can build an atomic bomb, no one's ever built a rabbit yet."

Many use the term scam to mark those who are doing things that may be unethical or not to industry standards: Agents who charge a reading fee and never secure a publisher... bad contracts, etc. These do not fall within the definition of scammers. One should be very careful in using the term. If you call someone a scam(mer) and are called into a court of law the Burden of proof falls upon you. You will have to prove what you say. Scam used with the term, "In my own opinion," does not minimize the meaning of the word scam. Shielding behind a screen name (aka) does not protect one. If you have posted it on the internet, you can be found.

Has your book been stolen?

If you have had a book published with an Vanity publisher…has it been re-written and published under a different name? Your story could be sitting on a shelf in a major book store. Think it’s impossible? Do you believe the billion dollar publishing industry has gone unnoticed by the bad guys? Think again.

Domenic says: "At times I've on top of the barrel. I've been in the barrel. I've even been at the bottom of the barrel. But like most folks, being under the barrel is not new to me.

I am a writer. If you see me standing across the street looking at you, be assured, I am writing you into a story, and you have become a character."
